MALIN+GOETZ was founded in New York City’s Chelsea neighborhood in 2004 by Matthew Malin and Andrew Goetz. Working with limited space in their apartment—and Matthew’s own sensitive skin—they began with six straightforward face, body, and hair essentials intended to simplify daily care.

The brand expanded that modern-apothecary approach into targeted skincare, body care, candles, eau de parfum, and perfume oils. Its fragrances often build around a familiar note such as strawberry, cannabis, leather, rum, or dark rum, then reinterpret it in a cleaner and less literal way. The result is a versatile collection that crosses skincare, personal scent, and home fragrance without feeling overcomplicated.
